Creativity and resourcefulness are perhaps the most fundamental qualities of marketing. It is important to note that marketing is not only consumed by advertising. The grassroots and guerilla style approaches to increasing visibility rely on the viral spread of information…sometimes it only takes only three people to communicate a message to their friends, family and passerbys to give the message a quality of value. Finding out information from “the source” equates truth that no campaign can attempt to mimic. That said, I respect the opinion that the recession will not have an effect on the cheap-wise and street-smart marketers out there. Tis cliché but where there is a will there is a way. It looks like flexibility and open-mindedness will prosper when the focus is off an overwrought dollar figure and geared towards effective results.
